Skyrim is my favorite. I have played Morrowind and Oblivion.

I just found that skyrim had a better sense of flow and immersion than the other two. the game-play mechanic felt more polished and i didn't find myself getting frustrated that often

Overall gameplay flow was better for me in Oblivion. There didn't seem to be as many glitches, lag outs, freezes, and just straight up LAG compared to the woes of Skyrim. I think the story was better and the game was quite challenging. The magic customization made anything you wanted possible. Leveling is confusing at first, but once you understand, it makes building a character easy and you truly customize a character to how you want (whether you want to be a mage, spell blade, warrior, tank, archer, assassin, etc.

There was never a time in Skyrim that I got frustrated on Master Diffuculuty, and Legendary has not given me that many problems at all. Oblivion was more difficult and rewarding for gameplay and the DLC was just phenomenal, much better than what they put out for Skyrim IMO.

That said, Skyrim was still an amazing game in its own way and one of my favorite games for sure.

All the damn freezes and lag as well as crazy loading screen time just really downed the experience in Skyrim for me and that was with the game being installed to my xbox hard drive.

I like the last three to have been released, each one is good in its own way.

Morrowind: Had a lot of choices for armor, weapons and spells. The only let down was consistently getting lost, but even that can be fun when Role Playing in the game.

Oblivion: Had a nice flow, a good storyline and made it harder to get lost. The only let down was the forcing of a class system in this game.

Skyrim: A great game, had a good combat system, a nice storyline, great DLC and removed the class system overall. The only let down was the lack of being able to create custom spells.

Now if the next mainstream TES game came out and merged all three, taking the amount of armor/clothing, weapon and spell options from Morrowind, the spell creating from both Oblivion and Morrowind, and the combat system and lack of class system from Skyrim, then it would blow my mind.

Skywind is the best way to experience Morrowind landscape. The bugs and NPC can be a little annoying. Cant wait for the revised version to be released.

Oblivion is my favourite, the story is unrivalled, but Skyrim has a lot better gameplay. If they remade Oblivion with Skyrim gameplay, it could be the best game ever.

Oblivion is great! The reason why your friends like Oblivion more is maybe because it was their first elder scrolls. Oblivion is good as skyrim if you ask me. I personally like Oblivion more since it was my first Elder Scrolls.

I have to say I love all the Elder Scrolls games. I am mostly a console player and When i first played Morrowind on Xbox I was like "What is this awesomeness?" The amount of gameplay options was unreal. Plus the shall we say unique spell effects, that were never seen again, were to fun. Dragon flying is cool but personally "flying" way more satisfying.

Then came Oblivion, as said before we did lose many of our options, like armor and spells. But, we gained a semi-working compass and map markers YAY, following directions is nice but having a map is priceless. The story in Oblivion blew me away the first time I played the game. Being a mage was so much fun in Oblivion the spell effects not any better in Oblion but the visuals made spell casting a delight. The conjured creatures look amazing and how numerous they were aswell. Oblivion, became and remained my favorite of the three when Shivering Isles came out the uniqueness of the Dlc, there is no equal. With all that said there were always things that could be improved.

Now, we have Skyrim with astonishing visuals and I say epic gameplay changes. We lost even more in the realms of magic. Made me cry alittle I missed my lesser daedra, poor scamps. However, we did get some rather thought out gameplay changes. Like how arrows fly makes being an archer abit more intresting. Stealth was vastly improved made sneaking in some cases impossible at lower levels. The immersion of Skyrim was easy, I mean they did a really good job of creating a since of wonder without throwing us in a realm of Oblivion but, I loved it when they did.

Wow I wrote a lot but damn If this is not one of my favorite quetions, as this is my favorite game series.
