for gaming and i would prefer to spend less, so i was thinking 8 as i read so other reviews and suggestions and they said 8 is fine but if you have the money gofor 16. What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

8 is enough.

Its as much as you would need aswell.

no it's not as gaming is evolving new games and such. Go with 8 or just to be safe 12 if you can find iit

Go with 8Gbs, i personally have 16 but that is because i have tons of programs open at once.

You only need 6GB for gaming.

I think battlefield 3 running at max everything takes up 4GB.

8GB is the sweet spot as it allows for dual channel memory (4+4).
