I tried to update my jtag and accidentally bricked it. any suggestions on what to do

do you have a back up of when it worked? if you do use xell by powering on the jtag with the eject button. You need to put the backup on the root of the usb and xell will load it. this of course depends on how you bricked it but its worth a shot

What do you have a bad nand flash? do you have the original nand and CPU key, if so it's salvageable.

it wont do anything at all. it gets no power, and i have a back upon my flashdrive i think?

You can only flash the backup over via LPT/USB then. If you have no idea how to solder that stuff up, you'll have to send it to someone to fix it for you.

Also, another good thing to keep in mind when updating your jtag is to KNOW you have a backup, not just think it. Just in case something exactly like this happens.
