My Ethernet port on my laptop is not working...can someone tell me a way to fix it please.

If it's physical damage, then you'll just have to fix it. Or buy a new cord. Could be either one, but you have to supply more information.

It's likely physical damage, Try taking it to your local PC store and see if they can replace it for you.

Does nothing happen at all when the cable is plugged in? Does it show up in the Network and Sharing Centre? You can check to see if someone has accidentally disabled the ethernet port which can happen.
