I do gaming videos and I monetized one of my videos. I then watched this video ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and decided to un-monetize it. Is that video correct? If so, how do gamers get partnered??

If you monetize gaming content or anything else that is not owned 100% by you then you can get into a lot of trouble, however if you partner up with a network and the network has all rights to claim the content that you wish to post in this case we're talking gaming, then you will be able to monetize that content.

If you monetize at all it disables you from getting partnership ;)

You need to be partnered with a Gaming network in order to monetize your content as the owner of your video, You can be partnered but don't monetize content until you are, otherwise your channels at risk and so is being taken to court or legal consequences

Gamers get partnered by network and to get a network you must apply for one just type "youtube networks" in on google and loads will pop up and just fill out an application form.
