Hey guys, I'm doing a problem - solution essay on why obesity has become such an epidemic, and I need some more help brainstorming any possible ideas for this. Here is what I have so far:
Problems
Fast food, no regulation of food, no warning labels on food, lack of exercise, addicting TV and videogames, and a lack of motivation.
Solutions
Encourage physical fitness more, regulations on food, warning labels added to food, improvement of FDA, and a regulation of advertising (similar to tobacco)
Any others would be greatly appreciated. Also note that I am in the US. +Rep will be given to anyone who helps me with this, thanks in advance!

Teenage magazines/ media..
See all these great physiques in magazines and some people take to much notice like comparing them selves to the picture in the magazine resulting in depression or lack of confidence.

Definitely! Media has a massive effect on obesity as it tends to lean towards steretypes creating a false image of how people should look like. Therefore resulting in depression etc... which then may lead onto other problems like obesity.

not keeping their heart rate at a good pace with leads to blood pressure issues .
by this it means when you eat over 3 days worth of food ,
AND NOT EXERCISE AT LEAST ONCE ,'
it does into some real problems.
