This is how I always think of these questions,
Well if I went forward in time until I was 50 years old and 22 days at 5 PM and killed myself, I would cease to exist past then.
BUT, when I'm 50 years old and 22 days, I prepared myself for that event and kill my past self.
Now, my past self no longer exists, possible causing myself to not exist.
Long very confusing cycle results.

Why kill yourself in the future? What you do in the past is what changes the future.

Sorry but that would cause a paradox so basically time travel is impossible unless someone could solve the paradox a number of consequences such as causing a parallel time line ETC

I had not read everyones comments but i believe if you were to kill your future self, quite simply, future you would die. if you were able to get back. that leaves a whole other idea open; what happens if you choose to make sure in life you never end up where you killed future-you. What would happen if you were successful, would you quite simple"forget" ever doing that, the event ceased to happen, or would a paradox occurs where past-you then finds you(even though you hadnt gone to find future-you , where ever you are) and kills you

XprN wrote If time travel would ever exist, why has no one come back from the future?
Well if they came back from the future, they would restore back to the original state as to what they were before they traveled into the future, right?
Regardless, my mind is puzzled.

I think you would live up until that point , until you see yourself killing yourself, then you would cease to exist and live up until that point , repeating it all over again

That's highly dependent upon whether you've got butsmoke flowing out the window or not.

Hunte wrote If you killed yourself, you would no longer exist. Not necessarily, time travel into the future faster than those around us, as we know is now possible. However going back in time will never be possible. That paradox could never exist, as with every other paradox. that's why they called them paradox. It's pointless to ponder the concept considering one will never happen. If you killed yourself in the future, then your future self would simply fall dead to your own hand.
If you no longer existed you wouldnt of been able to travel in time and kill yourself in the first place.
So it is a paradox.
There are many paradoxes related with time travel, this is one of the reasons 'Time Travel' will never be possible, ever.
