So I'm sure there's a lot of people creating these threads being new to console modding who have the desire to JTAG, like myself.
I roughly understand what JTAG is from the past 2 hours I've been looking it up.. But I'd like to get somewhere with it.
I've just turned 14, and I understand that taking apart the console is a necessity to JTAG. Okay, no problem; then soldering kicks in and that's a whole new level.
I got my Xbox 360 Slim just under a month ago - I've had one around 4+ years ago, I don't really know what happened to it so I bought another one.
ANYWAY, I couldn't seem to find any Xbox 360 S JTAG tutorials, even among the stickied threads that appear to be somewhat decent.
Obviously I don't want a console ban, so going on LIVE isn't an option (duh), but how can I ultimately avoid a console ban in every possible aspect?
What I'm asking from any readers;
-How can I JTAG my Xbox 360 Slim SUCCESSFULLY, being a 14 year old. (Console Kernal 2.0.16203.0)
-IF I JTAG my console and that's an enormous IF, how do I avoid a console ban?
-Is the JTAG expensive?

you can't jtag it you need to find out what motherboard you have then you need to rgh it. i will not help you with that plenty of info on the web. and you just don't connect to live or you will get banned. and there a bit of money.

^ What he said. If you decide to buy a Jtag or RGH, (or decide to attempt it on your own), to prevent an accidental console ban install dashlaunch and enable the live block option.

Ah, thanks. I.. THINK it's a Trinity. It has an MFR date of 2011-08-3.

All identical MFR dates are of a Trinity motherboard, but the ones that are Corona are all from Russia, except for 1 from Slovenia.
Does this mean my 360 is a Trinity for sure? I removed the top grille of my console, and am apparently supposed to be looking for something beyond the mesh - just not sure what..

well you can tell for sure by looking had the back where the power plugs in look up pic for that and it can be rghed what dash is it on if the newest dash it will ned rgh 2 rgh and jtag are the same thing just one has a chip and one has resister's.
