Don't let my title mislead you. But about a year or 2 ago I read a post on TTG saying that TTG only was basically only gonna be able to keep the site up for a few more years..is this true?

they make alot of money via gold. so im sure they will be here for A LONG TIME!

From people buying gold and gifting. It helps keep the domain. I think its up to them when they want to stop

They make money from the Gold members and the adds but this site dosent run itself. I doubt anyone is making any kind of profit from this.

You think 1/7th of the world will join TTG? There are only approximately 1.4 billion computers in the world connected to the internet(being used regularly). I'm going to guess that half of these computers will belong to women, not being sexist but women are less likely to join this site than men. So basically, thyis site will NEVER reach 1 billion members, especially when you realise that even FaceBook doesn't even have 1 billion users.
