A couple things to go through before trying out/ commiting to a clan:

1) Ask yourself, How much do I play during the week?
Many clans favor members that are very active.

2) Make sure you are loyal.
Dont tryout for a clan, make it, then just completely forget about them. Stay active within the clan community. Examples: Help get clips for episodes for your clans youtube. Change your gamertag as soon as you can. Clans frown upon people that say they can change their name in three days, but then 2 weeks later they still havn't. It shows that you have no motivation to get active or participate in the clans activities.

3) Take time to really think about the clan before you join it.
Dont join the clan then 2 weeks later you see yourself wanting to go to another clan. What can you do for this clan? What can this clan do for you?

4) Last but not least, the most important step. Make sure that the clan you want to join isnt some dinky friend based clan. Do not join a clan that says " Me and my friend made this clan last night. Its called CLAN!!! We are gunna go big!" Do not join clans like these, they are the ones that ususally stand for a week or so and crumble. No organization.
