Hey guys I am making this post because there aren't enough competitive teams on this website. I am going to be telling you how to make and lead a great team, and how to get ranked on Sniper Leader Board(SLB). I have a lot of Past Clan Experience and I am going to share some very important information. Also if you have a competitive clan, comment below with your name and I will enter you guys in the TTG Tournament for a chance to win 1600 MSP.
Here are the steps to make a "Good" Clan
Step 1)
Be a stern/serious leader, as in make cuts often if needed don't be afraid to cut people from the clan because if they aren't good enough they are just going to hold you back. If you don't wanna make the cuts, maybe the Co-Leader of the clan will, or even the manager.
Step 2)
Recruit as often as you can until your roster is set. The average team complies of 6 or 7 members. That's 4 Starters and 2 or 3 Subs. This way if one guy in doing bad, he can spawn out and the sub can join in and take his spot. This is an advantage you will need in some situations.
Step3)
Manage your roster. When I say manage I don't mean like sub box them and stuff I mean like manage them as in set your players to the best maps they play. If you are going to HQ Invasion, see that your best 4 players for that map are in, not the 4 players that want to play. If someone is good at HQ, but not CTF let them play HQ and let someone else spawn in for them on CTF.
Step 4)
Practice makes perfect. You need to send your Team through a series of practices. Here are my practices for my team. I start off as gathering them in a party, we go to private match, load up a Free For All Scrapyard and we play till we get our shots on. Then we do a 2v2 because there is 4 of us, and we practice "Call Outs".
Step 5)
Call Outs are probably what every team needs to be based on, but their not and that's their weak point. If you can master call outs, you are basically telling your team mates where the enemy is. That is a given advantage right there. So go to all the maps you need to and practice calling out the HQ Spawns, and the Enemy Locations. If you don't know what "Call Outs" are just go to youtube and type in "MW2 Competitive Call Outs Match"
Step 6)
Don't have separate divisions other than Countries. For example, you need separate divisions for US/EU/AU but not divisions for Trickshotting,GB,Etc.. Divisions cause cluster and cluster causes stress. When you can't name off the members of your team that's when you know you have to many people. Besides it's not like you can play them all in a match any way right? So stick to the average 4-8 Member Roster.
Step 7)
Tryouts to be held for members to join, not just filling out an application. When you do tryouts the people already in the Clan don't need to be playing, they need to be watching for "Call Outs" and other forms of playing. You need to get 8 People that want to tryout and set them up versus each other on a 4v4 HQ, then a 4v4 CTF. This lets you know their strong, and weak games. You need to keep the players, that are Objective,Chill, and players that call out. Having a few Kill Wh*res on the team isn't a bad thing but if they back pack the team it can lead to a bad thing. The team needs to be balanced out on Kills,Score,Callouts, and Objective. A balanced team is a winning team.
Step 8)
Having Fun, is what it's all about. If you aren't having fun don't do it. If you are trying your hardest in a game and yelling at your team, then you just need to quit and go calm down at the dash board. Because not only are you making yourself do worse, but also your teammates because you are yelling and screaming at them and they can't help it. Do your best and have fun, because if you aren't you will not enjoy competitive.
