Well I searched for about a day now and couldnt find a solution to this so you guys are probably my last hope. First of all, I have the icon in my task bar that looks like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which just says internet access. The thing is though, I still have internet connection, shown [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , and I can still do everything without a problem. It, in no ways affects, my computer at all, it is just a complete annoyance. I am on a wireless connection. I used to have a netgear usb wireless adapter until I got myself an Asus N15. I recently used CCleaner to remove the old software for the netgear one when this problem appeared. Does anybody know a way how I can get it to show how strong my connection is again?

I would recommend you go to the device manager, which you can access by typing "device manager" into the search bar of the start menu. Then, go to networking adapters and disable anything that appears on that list. Wait a moment, then re-enable whatever is in that list and everything should return to normal. If that doesn't work, let me know and I have another fix you can try!

Have you used any virtual network adapters such as Hamachi?

Ok, that's no problem. Go here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Follow the guide posted there and see if that resolves your issue, if it doesn't let me know. I'll do whatever I can to make sure we get this squared away

Hmm, this really sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried uninstalling the driver and ticking the box that will remove the driver from the hard drive? If you do that, you will need to reconnect the wireless adapter and download any software that it needs, I would recommend downloading the software first before you uninstall the driver.

Yes I have. I honostly think it has to do something with wireless connection 2. I had the previous software manager on when I install the N-15 and when I deleted the manager with CCleaner, my computer must thinking wireless connection 1 is there.

That's possible, I would uninstall the driver, don't tick the box to delete it and then right click in the device manager to scan for hardware changes.
