Theres your problem. You can't go online with a pirated version. But you could play on a private server via LAN. Buy it from steam like everyone else. Then use dayzcommander and install.

i dont think you can go online from a illegally downloaded one but you could go on private servers or LAN servers, but i would say download Dayz off steam and then get dayz commander so its easier to join servers

Everyone said it already. You need to buy it from steam or a legit site. Because you don't have a legit CD-Key to play online.

Once you ACTUALLY get the game I recommend downloading DayZ Commander, also make sure you have the latest patch of DayZ.

As previously stated, all will be fixed with a LEGAL copy of Arma 2: CO. Then get DayZ Commander and all your problems will be fixed.

Pirated copies are ok for Offline to test a game and see if you like it but after wards buy it if you like it and if you want to play online Pirated copies are never going to work out for you.


Buying Arma X Anniversary Edition may work out cheaper if you buy it on a Disc from a retailer instead of steam. I bought that way back before DayZ was released for about 10 then DayZ was released about a year later and the price rocketed back to 40. Just shop around and see if you can find it cheap elsewhere than steam or wait for a steam sale.

There is a way to do it. Download it and get a key changer. Get an invalid key and put it into your regedit directory or use the key changer. Download and install DayZ commander. Once you've done all this you will only be able to play in no-key only servers. I'm not sure what the gameplay is like in the no-key servers but i wouldn't think it'd be the same as the cd-key servers. Use Darky's key changer. If you need further help hmu on this or youtube it.
