Hey guys I wanted Skyrim back for the longest time now and I saw that they were releasing a Legendary Edition sometime next month. I already have 2/3 add-ons and I was wondering if I would be better off just getting the Standard version and getting the DLC separately. The Legendary Edition also comes with some more in-game content and allows you max out all of your players skills. Legendary Edition is $60 and the Standard is $30.

Which DLC's do you already have?
The standard version of skyrim already comes with the 1.9 patch ("added features like combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills enabling you to master every perk and level up your skills infinitely") that's going to be in the Legendary Edition. If the only DLC that you don't have is Hearthfire, then I wouldn't intend on getting the Legendary Edition. But that's up to you.

Don't pay for something a second time if you already own it.

Uh last I checked the Legendary Edition was merely bringing out a bundle of what the standard edition is currently up to. The more in-game content is available by getting the latest title update, the ability to make out all player skills was always in the game. So really its just down to whether you would want to by the standard or the legendary edition since they are now pretty much the same bar the DLC availability, since standard means buying it separately.
