Hey, Well I have tried to open skype and it opens, but then it freezes my taskbar and desktop, I have tried creating a new account and re-installing, does anyone know how I can fix this?

Make sure when you "Re-installed" it, are you sure you did it properly?
To do it properly, press the start button and type Skype. Delete every file associated with skyp (Try find the Main Folder On C: Drive etc.) Then try re-installing it.
If that doesn't help, get your computer itself checked out. Especially if the insurance is still redeemable. Hope I helped :3
