Being immortal is a terrible idea.

You would be forced to watch the worlds downfall.
The world has an expiration date.

Sure, "space colonies etc etc"
But what if we don't have those in time?

They'll have space colonies in less than 5,000 years time, I'm almost certain. Though, there's no guarantee.

I don't think I would want to live forever, but I'd love to live longer.. or physically age slower.

Once everyone you knew and loved had passed I assume you'd be very lonely.

I agree, I would just rather physically age slower
say 1 year is equivalent to 5 years.
I wouldn't mind that as long as I can die.

I wouldn't take it, maybe I want to die someday and I can't because of this drug.

I would take it at 21 aswell because, well, I wouldn't have to spend a half hour per night thinking of what happens when I die.

Truly 'immortal' is impossible.

There is a 100% guarantee there is a way to prevent natural death though.

Untill the age of 21 your cells keep regenerating, after that each of them slowly cripple and die.

We are able to create lungs from cells obtained from baby mouses, we can 'GROW' limbs already!

At some point a very intelligent person will find a way to make these cells continue regenerating, as in you will stay at the age of 21 physically!

For the blonder ones here - cells dieing causes elderness, that's what makes people die. Situations just control the rate of the cell destruction. If you smoke and drink the destruction process speeds up a lot, if you sport, eat healthy it slows down a lot.

You can allways be killed by unnatural causes though!
