make sure you switch your motherboard to the correct socket instead of the amd socket or else the i7 wont work

How would I do that??????? I don't know to much about computers

You'd have to buy a brand new motherboard, which means a new operating system too, because Microsoft consider a motherboard as a computer, you'd then have to pay another $300 for the i7.
