I can see why she brag's about the hp envy, I'm using the envy m6 right now and it's a monster. I love it.

Get her to go to the store where the laptop is. & Beg Beg Beg. Dont make it seem to annoying to where she wants leave because she's annoyed but try to convince her that your going to do much more things for her & you will behave or something.

here is my 3 step plan...
1.teach your mom about tech stuff
2.show here your shi*ty specs and she will have no choice but to have pitty on you and buy you an new one for
3.Be forever in my debt

It's not impossible to get a job at the age of 14. Work for your family/friends business or even go door to door and rake or mow their lawn.

its not impossible to get a job at 14? i could there are stores hiring 14 and above in oklahoma at least.

Do things for your mom like tell her if you do this and that to pay you or something like that. For me, I clean the bathroom and do the dishes and I get $5 a day so yeah. I also have a HP ENVY and its a very good laptop.

1. Say it's for school and you can't open certain programs you need

2. Kiss her a** do the dishes,laundry take the trash out now the lawn do tht for 2 weeks straight then ask her of she says no then she's just mean

Why not save up half of the money to buy it, and ask your mom to pay for the other half?
