i was looking at upgrading my gpu from a gtx 460 to a gtx 670 and was wondering if i would really see a significant difference in my render speeds and gaming experience. i am going to be purchasing new parts for a completely new build and was curious if my impatient self would benefit from putting the gpu of the new system in my current one. a move like this isn't dyer or necessary, but i'm just curious as to if i would actually get some gain out of it. thanks.

Of course you would gain noticeable performance increases.

Yes, any productivity application that makes use of CUDA will benefit significantly from a more powerful graphics card. The 670 is a huge upgrade over the 460 in terms of gaming performance.

You should get a quality power supply if you'll be running expensive hardware like the 670. Any of these are good options:
