Me and my friend are looking to play a multiplayer game but not sure what to play? preferably free and horror or open world?

I suggest RuneScape or Star Wars The old Republic. They are both fun free multiplayer games that have extras with a membership. Star Wars for its quests and tie to the Knights of The old Repubic.(1 and 2) RuneScape is a fun game if you have ever tried it before. It takes a long time to get high in level so I would suggest getting a bot. But if you both want to level together then I wouldn't.

You should try to play:
KOTOR
WOW
RIFT (soon they will change this game to FTP)
and maybe Tera online.

DOTA 2 is so addictive! CS: GO or any of the Counter Strike series, Left 4 Dead/2 - any Valve games are good! DC Universe Online is so unbelievabally fun! Arma 2/3 Alpha. GTA IV mp. Starcraft 2. I like Star Wars the Old Republic, but not as much as I like DCUO.
