Normally i notice the same with mine but you need to know that if you post on something that's stupid and that might be closed you will lose you post from that topic.

If staff sees them as pointless they will close or delete them. If users see them as pointless and report the topic then the staff will look at it and decide to either keep it open, close it or delete it.
