As much as i don't like Alienware, In this case i would pick it over a Mac, But that's personal preference.

Alienware is horribly overpriced, don't buy anything Alienware.

If you have the money, I would suggest a Macbook Air or Retina Pro. If you want to build a desktop PC, I suggest that as well.

Contrary to the "Jump on the bandwagon" belief, Macbook Air/Retina are brilliant computers from an editing/processing standpoint. No, they will not hold their own in games and such, and yes, they are quite pricey. But for those looking for a quality, professional Laptop for their work and recreation (Not gaming) they will be well worth it in the long run.
