Hi guys my dad is interested in a mechanical keyboard for his mac. I have searched and searched and I honestly have not found much. I found the das keyboard which seems perfect except for the glossy finish/dirt magnet. But anyways I was looking at filcos and ducky's and they say they are mac compatible but they don't have the mac buttons on them. Do the windows buttons work like command or something like that? Thanks guys and if you could recommend a kb that would be great. Also I think he would want blues.

They have an identical layout pictured [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . The only difference would be that on a mac, control is labeled "option".
As for a good keyboard, depending on your budget, filco's and ducky's are great brands to choose from.
If he is looking for a keyboard just to have, blues are cheap and reliable, but they can get pretty audible at times.
Since it's a mac, I can mark out brown which excels in gaming with low noise, but a nice, tactile feel.
He would most likely want an mx red keyboard. I love mc reds. At first they may be abit too easy for you to press, but he will learn how much pressure to put.
I'm not all too big with the more expensive keyboards, but I've seen some nice thing about [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . Now, if you don't want to spend that much, the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is great for the price.
Keep your opinions open to what others may recommend as there are better and worse out there that may get suggested in this thread.
