You complain about Fast And Furious 6, Isn't almost every movie unrealistic? They seem to be the best ones too. I expect you play Battlefield or CoD, They are unrealistic too.

The only things that really stood out, being really unrealistic, was the scene with the tank and with the C-130 (longest runway ever). But other than that it was just cool stuff, still unrealistic but it's a movie, and what is entertaining movies with out unrealistic scenes? A freaking documentary.. Maybe not, but still, sometimes it's needed.

And the Fast and Furious series has never been only about racing!

I think the very first Fast and the Furious movie was the best. Movies just wouldnt be the same if they were to realistic.

I actually happen to hate CoD. Besides, what games do you play that are more realistic than Battlefield? I know Battlefield can be unrealistic, especially the flight. " There's no speed indicator! " as my old Grampa ( ex Vietnam fighter pliot ) says. But BF3 is more realistic than a lot of games out there. If there are more realistic games than BF3 please tell me, because as you can see, I really prefer more realistic games/ movies!

Yes, a lot of movies are unrealisitc. However, a lot don't even compare the unreal-ism of F&F.

Overall the series needs to stop after this one. This series is like CoD, mainly the same stuff with a couple somewhat big changes, then released. The series has a lot of action, sometimes to much, but hey, if it has people getting blown up or the crap beaten out of them, then it's bound to have some views!

They attached the hook to the flap of the plane. By doing that they forced the plane to make an erratic turn then go boom.

Watch the movie rather than judging it by a few second commercial. ;)

IronPUG wrote Fast and Furious has NEVER been about racing, it has been about cars and clearly still is. There are plenty fast cars and modified cars in f+f 6. You said that a single car took down an airplane, well, actually it was 3 cars. Two of these cars were heavy cars meaning it would be harder for the airplane to actually lift the cars of the ground and one of these cars was a muscle car which is extremely fast stock, never mind modified so it is possible, not probable but definitely possible.

Here's the trailer for those who haven't yet seen it;

I only see one person on one car attach something to the plane. Yes one of them may be a nicer challenger with a pumped up v-8 and nitrous, but I don't know if you understand the sheer power of a C-17. That thing would lift the car up of the ground.

Just look here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you pause at around 1:30 you can see that the Challenger and the jeep are hooked up to the plane already and then Brian hooks up to the plane from what seems to be an Alfa Romeo. You're absolutely right though, I have no idea when it comes to planes but I do, however, know about cars and I know that a Dodge Challenger with a few modifications can have a VERY high horsepower and is a very heavy car so it is not impossible but it would all depend on the speed and height of the plane at the time they start to attempt pulling it down. Movies aren't about realism though, they are about entertaining and I find it quite entertaining to watch a pumped up modern muscle car, an Italian hot hatch and a jeep attach themselves to a plane in order to pull it to the ground.

I can promise that your car does not weigh nearly as much as that C-17. Speed and height don't mean anything, it would be the weight of the aircraft. If the car did securely latch on to the plane's wing in the same place it was in the trailer, the car would probably just be lifted with the plane, which wouldn't immediately take down the plane, just cause it to have a new center of gravity nearer the wing and a bit aft of the fuselage. Wikipedia says that the plane was "held down by excess weight as Han, Gisele, Roman, Tej, Brian, and Mia tether the plane to their vehicles." Assuming that a few thousand extra pounds would be able to take down a plane designed to transport tanks, nothing would have happened anyway; the plane could have deployed speed breaks, flaps, full elevator and breaks and slowed to a halt. Even if he was beyond V1, it still would not have blown up by hitting whatever's on the other end of the runway. In the trailer, it looks like the plane's wing catches fire somehow, then suddenly loses its landing gear and blows up. Nothing shown in the trailer could have caused that.

I don't think that those flaps would be going anywhere because of a winch attached to them. If I can't budge flaps on a general aviation aircraft, they're probably not going anywhere on this massive military-grade cargo plane. Plus, the flaps on a C-17 are huge and probably weigh more than any other plane's flaps I can think of, except for maybe an An-225.

ArmA is the most realistic war simulator out there, You prefer realistic games/movies, I like both.
