My HD PVR was working last night, i recorded things and everything, yet now it doesn't show up on my PC. The pass through works fine, but it isn't being detected by my PC. Tried installing drivers but that won't work since it isn't detected at all by the PC.

I've tried:
Unplugging/replugging USB
Unplugging/replugging power
Turning it off and on again
Different USB slot on PC
Restarting PC
All that s**t.

Anybody have any ideas?

Like even if you open the program you are using to record it doesn't say hauppage PVR? Or nothing comes up on the total media extreme?

I've had this problem when I first got mine. The problem with mine was that the firewire cable it came with stopped working. See if you have any extras around the house. If not, you may want to go to walmart or somewhere and try to find one real cheap.

That's exactly what it's doing.

I'm using USB, and yeah it could be the USB cable messing up. No walmart here, in the UK haha. I have a printer that uses the same cable though, might try that.

Not that, just tried it. I'm using USB extenders as it's on the other side of the room so it could be them.
