Hey guys so I have a laptop with an i3 processor, 6 gb ram and 640g hdd (not that it matters) but anyway when I try play minecraft it's laggy as shit, I've put the settings lower to try and improve it, but still, any help guys?

If you don't already have it you should get Optifine. It works really well!

First, like said above, install Optifine.
You can see how to do that here
Once you have that installed, you will be able to change a lot more of the video settings to be able to, hopefully, gain a higher FPS.
One other thing you could do is allocate more RAM to minecraft. (If you decide to do this instead, PM and I will help you to do so)
