I use a TV screen (Vizio 32") on my desktop just because it's fun to watch things on bigger screens and it helps me code a bit better.

BUT cost efficient would be a BenQ, and of course, as a inch increases and resolution support, the more it costs

The BenQ line of products are okay, BUT they used FAILED motherboards from Apple. And their customer service SUCKS i bought the "BenQ XL2420T Professional Gaming Monitor" and it broke within 2 weeks normal play time no extra damges, took me over a month to get it fixed because the customer service sucks.

Just wondering, would I be able to use a monitor for my xbox as well?

Ermmm no? I prefer asus my self or acer consider benq feel cheap and tatty IMO

It's just like almost any other monitor manufacturer. They have a full line of products with varying prices, quality, features, etc. The XL2420T is a fantastic monitor for 120 Hz gaming, but it's priced like it. Response time often has little to do with the actual performance of the monitor because one could have a 2ms response time, but terrible ghosting (Like my Asus VE258Q, which on paper is fantastic for gaming, but in practice, not so much. Glad I got it cheap).

What's your budget for the monitor? What games will you be playing? Are you a competitive or more casual gamer? What are the specs of your PC?

My budget is up to 250, I will be playing mostly Call Of Duty, I enjoy competitive gaming much more than just the laid back casual game, so competitive. And although using it for my PC would be good, could I hook it up to my Xbox for better performance?
