Well as you may know the current PS3 does not let you record via HDMI due to HDCP (High-Definition Copyright Protection) so does that mean that the new Xbox will now also have the same as it will have Blue-ray? Will the current capture cards (Elgato, HDPVR etc.) Work? :S

I think it would be almost impossible for them to block your TV or HDMI out on your tv.

I won't be buying the new console, if you think this is the worst the Kinect is ALWAYS watching you!

This is a quote from a website talking about it:
To increase interactive viewing and encourage a user to watch one or more particular items of video content, awards and achievements may be tied to those items of video content.
Producers, distributors, and advertisers of the video content may set viewing goals and award a viewer who has reached the goals.

By providing content viewing goals and awarding the viewer for reaching the goals, the present disclosure provides for an interactive television viewing experience.

Additionally, by tying the awards and achievements to particular items of video or advertising content, viewers may be encouraged to increase their viewership of the content, thus increasing advertising opportunities.

Whether or not this patent becomes a reality remains to be seen but even if it does materialise it is likely to be an opt in option.

So it's doubtful that Kinect will always be watching you, and even if it does, it's likely to give you choice of whether you want it (Not that many would, obviously)

You do know that it is required to have a kinect plugged in at all times for the xbox to work right?

Its honestly the stupidest soundest console every. Region locked games, pay for used games, games are locked to accounts and have to pay to use it on another then its locked to the other account, and its all just more and more bullshit. Its not even about gaming anymore it seems. I just want to throw a disc in and game for a bit not all this bull.

Only the Elgato and HD PVR 2 will work, since they support HDMI, but others like HD PVR 1, Roxio, Dazzle, etc. will not be able to work since they support AV cables and th X-Box one does not support AV cables this time around!

BTW, the X-Box One has a record device in it!

The Roxio HD capture Pro now has HDMI but like I said they might have the security since the Xbox one will have the Blue-ray drive. which means that none of them will work if the HDMI is protected.

you are about the 10th person i have to correct on this matter in the last few days.

Yes it requires the kinect be plugged in at all times but it CAN be turned off aslong as its plugged in.

Source : - News/sid=4567/xbox-one-kinect-can...t-rep.html

about second hand games, its already been confirmed by Major nelson on twitter that it will NOT cost you anything to play a second hand game.

Please before stating facts at least check they are correct.
