Hey

I posted a few posts back about in-ear headphones. I was suggested the Xeport 5010-8, however the postage is $40 and they haven't responded to my email that I sent. So I was wondering if there are any alternatives that I can get in Australia without the postage costing too much.

Thanks
Hamish

Budget: I would like to stay in the $50 or below range, but I can go higher for the right price.

Music preferences: General Use (movies, videos, music). Mostly Indie Rock when it comes to music.

Type/form-factor: Over Ear

Open or closed: Maybe Open, Preferably Closed.

Listening from: Laptop

Details: I need a good set of "general" headphones. Defiantly need to be portable and somewhat durable. I thought about getting open headphones because I like hearing whats going on around me, but I do not like the idea of other people hearing my music when I am in the library at school. My main priorities is having a good set of portable, general use, good quality sounding headphones for the price.

Listening from: Iphone 5, computer

Details:

Do you want them to be portable? Yes
Is durability a big priority? not really but I would want them to last a long time
Are these for gaming? yes I will be using them for gaming but mostly for Iphone 5
I also want them to look good

I like the V-Moda Crossfade M-100 please say if I should go with these or pick something else

there 200 pounds on this site [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
but they get shipped from Hong Kong so they will have no warranty but they are 70 pounds cheaper than other stores.

The M100 works. It's probably the best option unless you really like treble.

Hi my M100's came 2 days ago they sound really good but my right ear is hitting the speaker and it and it gets sore after 5 mins is there any thing I can do about this.

You can put cotton balls under the pads (both sides or else it'll sound weird) to increase the distance. The sound won't be radically different, but there'll be a little less treble.

Which is more important to you: rock, electronic, or rap? In my experience, the stuff that works well with rock tend to not work very well with electronic. For example, I think these: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] are brilliant with rock, but these: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] are pretty dang good for electronic.

Technically, within your budget, you could get both with cash to spare. If you only want one headphone with some compromises, there's this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but I haven't heard this one so I can't really recommend it fully, so the only thing I can tell you is to read up on it.

So I have a Velodyne vTrue on the way. Headphones made by a subwoofer company seem to be quite promising for my bass-related wants.

Plus they look sturdy:

Budget: Please keep it below $70 unless there is a great deal for a little bit more.

Music preferences: Not much music, mainly for gaming. Music is electronic and hip hop though.

Type/form-factor: Over Ear

Open or closed: Maybe Open, Preferably Closed.

Listening from: PC and galaxy s4

Details: Not really for music, but gaming. Lots of bassy games like bf3/4. Fast paced with good sound quality and very comfortable for long play times.

Just curious, but what's the difference between those and [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I like them less for electronic, won't be as good for gaming. They have their place, and I almost recommended them, but the CAL is better for what you want.

Also, I just got my vTrues today. They certainly look like the $400 they list for, and they sound very dark. I can even venture to say I like them.
