I would just like to say that I am a massive Microsoft and Xbox 360 fan. I have always preferred the Xbox over any game console, but this year I think I changed my mind. The Xbox is no longer a gaming console. It has turned into a cable box, and this really disappointed me. I was planning on buying the new Xbox until I've herd about all its features and how it mainly focuses on television.

Here is the presentation of the brand new Xbox. Take a look

IDK it seems like a TV box to me but who knows maybe its part of Microsoft's strategy.

it is both, I would rather have options of what I do with my console than be stuck with just gaming. Its called options and xbox one is more reliable and has more options

Its both that's why its named the xbox one - all in one device. However if it was my decision at the moment in time it seems more like a entertainment device.

I would also say its both gaming and entertainment, which most people would prefer? (I believe) It's basically a 360 and more.. what is there not to like? you can still play games AS WELL as being able to watch sport/tv etc. but obviously you don't have to. At E3 they said they would mostly talk about the games.

Yes that is true, the new Xbox does have more options, but listen to this. The Ps4 kills the xbox in every single category plus the online is free. You don't have to pay monthly for live. Plus I'm buying a GAMING console not a cable box. If you want to watch tv then you go buy yourself a cable box not a gaming console. Everything has its own category.

Why is everyone slagging cable TV off? In Britian the main TV provider is Sky, and I have a Sky subscription in my bedroom. What about the people who don't even have basic freeview in their room. Personally I think it's a great addition as it gives people access to live TV if they don't have a digital box in their room
