Yeh stick your weapon in a furnace then break the furnice then pick your item back up and upgrade it to a higher level Hope i helped.

thats not what i mean. what i mean is say a sword as looting 3 and sharpness 2
and you what to add fire aspect 2 and upgrade the sharpness to 4 with out getting a new sword

You can through modding it.

You can max out the levels of the enchantments you already have on your item, I'm not sure about adding other enchantments though.

and to change the enchanment levels youll need the minecraft decompressor and what you do is you go on horizon or whatever program and go into content and extract the savegame.dat into a new folder you made on ur desktop and you copy the minecraft decompressor into that folder with the .dat file and then go on start menu and right click and drag cmd( command prompt) into folder and copy it there then go into cmd and tipe in minecraft.exe -d savegame.dat savegame.dat.decompressed and then click enter and some shit will appear then you exit out of cmd and open up hex editor, then drag the savegame.dat.decompressed file into hxd and press ctrl+f and search for lvl and the second dot beside level will be the enchant level( it shows enchant level in the hex script or the left side of hxd) it will say a number of the enchant since enchants cant naturally get over 5 so what you do is change that to the hex edit you want which you can go on a calculator and goto programmer mode and tipe in number then click hex, do not do over 255 because it will come off in more then 2 digits which will not work for savegame and once youve changed all the levels hex numbers you save it and exit hxd and then go back into cmd and tipe in this time minecraft.exe -c savegame.dat.decompressed savegame.dat and click enter but this time git it a second for it to load then once this crap pops up on it saying something bout done exit cmd and goto horizon or whatever program and replace the savegame.dat with the new savegame.dat and rehash and resign and put it on flashdrive and there ya go and if you need more help message me or add me on xbox ( gamertag: nc1robertson)

BTW the you can change ur character level as well its near the lvl script but as well as the enchant level you cannot go over 255 or else it will not work, ow nad beware if you do try to add enchants or make higher level enchants DO NOT do on another map until you have gotten it right a couple times or else you may lose a good world( happened to me once or twice)

i do everything right and it doesn't work I know it works because they show a sword with like 5 things on it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if its just luck
