What game are you modding (1 or 2) and are you using the most recent version of the editor?


The first Dead Island and I have just download the recent version of DISE and the mods still dont work.
Try This version of the save editor instead. The new versions are a bit buggy because of the updates Steffin is doing for RipTide

I have noticed errors when putting too many weapons/items in your inventory at once, so avoid doing that.

You probably aren't aware of the fact the maker of DISE implemented hex value checks where it is impossible to import an .xml file with skills higher than 15 if the person who is importing doesn't have a premium license.
There is a way around it though.

Open Horizon
Find Dead island Save
Open save
go to contents
Right click and extract to desktop
Open Dise
Drag Save_0 from desktop to Save editor
Mod your save
File>Save
Back in horizon, right click your save_0 and replace it with the one from your desktop
Save, Rehash, and Resig
Enjoy your mods

Premium

To get premium skills, after you are finished modding your save, upload your Save_0 to mediafire or some other file storing website, and I will add Premium skills to your gamesave for you. Do not mod your save after i put premium skills on it, because I am not sure if this will take them off or not. (Dead island 1 only)

dise isn't working for me, is there a reason for it? i get a pop-up bubble saying it is not working and windows will have to close the program. Help?

The Modio one is great and easy to work. People should try that if they dislike Horizon.

So, this does work with riptide? Will it freeze like the other ways do or..? Sorry for the noob question, I just would like to know before I did this and it freezes.
