i cannot play my xbox because there is dust clogging up the fan in the power brick keeping it from cooling causing it to overheat. could i drain it in water then leave it out over night to dry? or would that just screw it up completely.

It would screw it up completely, just buy a can of pressurized air and blow it out with that.

Maybe take it apart and clean all the dust out?
