If people want to buy the console why does that bother you ? They're not making you buy it .

The last time I checked, most of what everybody is claiming that the new xbox will do (Including yourself) hasn't been confirmed. Sure, it has 8GB RAM, but what are your sources to say that 5GB go to gaming? What are your confirmed sources to say that pre-owned and borrowed games will work once and never again? (You seem to have also done no research other than listen to rumours and watch the reveal)

And of course people will buy it. It's the next generation of games consoles. It's the first xbox for 8 years, and it's sensible that after 8 years, something needs updating.

So jump out of the rut and join us in the present. Stop fretting over every little rumoured detail and proclaiming that it's all fact and the world is going to end because you don't like what you see.

And before anybody calls me an xbox/ps3 "little kid", I don't own neither of those consoles, I game solely on the PC.

I see where you are coming from but there are so many rumours that are getting confirmed then Microsoft are saying "no that's not true". Nobody truely knows what the X-Box One has to offer yet.

I'm sticking to the xbox 360, Xbox one to me sounds awful in the first place.

I'm going to get the Xbox One but keep my 360.

So what...The RAM will not effect the gaming side of it, the RAM is simply there for the multitasking.

Well I have had no intetnet outage for the past 3 years so I think Im safe.
If it does happen I have a Mobile Internet connection I can use to log on.

HAHAHAHAHA dont talk rubbish, a Basic 1.5 connection will have you connected, but, online play will be same as with any other console. Better connection is always better.

And to all the people saying they wont get one.....I bet you will.

Ok let me just start off by saying in all fairness I dis agree with your post and a lot of the people supporting this, not because i was so called "brain washed" by Microsoft simply because all that has been shown is a 1 hour press conference talking about some of the features of the console not about anything else and a few extra interviews talking about the console.

Lets say you still think its stupid but you may soon change your mind not at first but in the future. At first the TV Show the Office had terrible reviews people said it was stupid and not a good show but after people gave it time and after 9 long seasons it is now one of the highest reviewed tv shows on IMDB and was one of the best shows on TV.

If you can afford a PC, just get one. Do anything you want on it, and you can even get PC's from $300

Please learn at least some basic computer science before you go into ranting about specifications - you sound like an idiot to even the least educated person in the field.

And if you don't have decent internet, that's not their fault: i'm going to buy the console, enjoy it like i did my ps2/xbox/xbox360/psp and every other console i've owned, and yes, it's going to be pretty fun. The whole RAM thing is pretty pointless anyway, i can't even see next gen games using 5GB RAM, my PC only has 8GB, and probably around five is free to run programs and games, never had problems with games like Crysis or Battlefield, and i don't think battlefield 4 is going to change that (or any other game).

Using the Cloud is important to Microsoft, they can utilise it in ways to make the PS4 seem pretty weak in some computational aspects, so why can't the assume everyone who is a 'hardcore' game caring about having the best headset/controller have good internet too?

And whats with the 12mbps rule? That's pretty bullshit too. If you'd have used game streaming software before you'd realise you can do it effificently with pretty low bandwidths.
