Let's go back to 2008 I believe, where the YouTube channels were full of customization, so much could be done with your channel, and the possibilities were endless. Then the developers some how think, well everyone loves this layout so let's remake it into some pixcelated trash and take out all the customization.. and so they do. After people finally get used to the idea the developers think once again, people have to much freedom to make these amazing backgrounds that really bring there channel to life. Let's change that so that they have nothing but a awkwardly placed rectangle and make it so every channel looks the exact same. And for those of us who worked hard for partnered backgrounds, say goodbye to that, partners have next to no benefits.

I realize that this is by no means what actually happened, but it is what goes through my mind when I try to reason with there decisions. I don't understand things like this.
