These computers start at $488, but that's completely bare minimum. I think the only thing I'd keep is the RAM. And that's a definite maybe.

If I were you, I'd look at spending around $1000 on your gaming PC, for a nice one. Save your money up and build a nice one flat-out, buying pre-built and upgrading can be expensive and/or stressful.

You're not going to be able to get a legit os with a budget like that and it still be even the slightest bit of a gaming pc.

Here is what I have set up for you. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The phenom is still going great in gaming for its price and age. Pair it with a dedicated gpu and there you go. The 7750 is something that should get you by on 720p until you have the money to upgrade. If you're able to go up to $450 though, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] card will perform better for just a little bit more.

The disk drive is optional so I didn't include one to save money. There are barely any times that they are needed nowadays with everything being downloadable.

The case should get you bye for now, until you want something better.

Pretty much this entire build is low end to support the budget, so upgrade when you get the money.
