I just ordered my Jtag/RGH... when i start it up on a clean hdd is there something specific i have to do? i hear people talking about booting into xell... if its already jtag/rgh'd dont i just start it up and load xexmenu and FS3 n dashlaunch??

Yes pretty much, unless you ordered one that doesn't have xex menu in it. If thats the case then just install it through a tutorial on youtube. If your jtag doesn't come with freestyle dash installed then xex mennu will just be in games on the normal dash. If thats the case then boot it up, go to games, and launch the xex menu. It should be labeled as a "game demo"

The consoles are all standalone - meaning you dont need to do anything extra unless you want too.

it will be as simple as adding the games or Applications you want and playing.

Xex menu should be the first thing as its a file browser which will help out with all your following files by being able to copy/paste/delete/move files on your storage devices.

lol i was gonna ask you but i didnt want to bug you with noob questions..

so basically once i get it put xexmenu on then just put everything else on in any order doesn't matter right?

Nope, you'll figure it out once you get it.

It's alot easier to understand once you get started.
