So looking through Facebook, I see a news feed from Bethesda concerning an E3 info release. Elder Scrolls Online is coming to PS4 and Xbox One. So I checked at Bethblog and its confirmed: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

They seriously killed it now, I've heard negative things about it, it's apparently just another boring MMO, and to bring it to consoles is the worst thing you can do. At least it won't be P2P though.

I wouldn't knock it until you try it. Just hearing negative things doesn't mean its bad. A blind man can be told that looking at a naked lady is horrible, but that doesn't mean its true. A deaf person can be told, via sign language, that hearing music is horrible but that doesn't make it true. Until you actually get to play it, I'd say just ignore the negative things. Yes its an MMO but so what? Its got more in-depth play then most I've seen, and better character customization. Plus it will give devote Elder Scrolls fans a chance to explore the past of the series.

I'm an avid Elder Scrolls fan and have been begging for it to be good, but let's be honest it isn't innovations from what we've seen, so unless they've completely remade the game in the last few months I don't think that anything has changed.

The gameplay we have seen so far might not be the actual end product. It could easily have been a tester run, as most game developers use. They create the world, then load in a crappy basic UI for play testing the game and making sure the world works how they want it before working on things in more depth. I've seen videos of Bethesda, and associated companies, using such techniques during the creation of Skyrim and such, in which the gameplay looked like crap and would have made things suck if it had been the end product.

But even with what they have now, for an MMORPG its still pretty damn good, especially if its coming to console. I've played WoW, a big MMORPG at present, and the current gameplay videos of ESO makes WoW look like Barney the dinosaur took a huge dump on the muppets.
