Australian authorities say a boat carrying up to 60 asylum seekers has capsized in the Indian Ocean.

At least 13 bodies had been recovered but no survivors have yet been found.
Australian Customs said the submerged hull of the boat was spotted by the crew of a search plane on Friday northwest of Christmas Island, an Australian territory 310 miles south of Jakarta.
An Australian navy ship joined the search on Saturday.
Australian Maritime Safety Authority spokesman Jo Meehan said up to 60 people were believed to have been aboard the boat, which was headed for Christmas Island. Their nationalities were unknown.
She said two ships and two airplanes resumed the search for survivors on Sunday.

Wow it's a bit sketchy they have only found thirteen bodies. Unless they floated farther out to see?

It's actually sort of ominous, 60 people and yet 13 were found. Quite eerie.

That is awful. All those people, and no survivors? That is pretty shocking to say the least.
