Hey guys, so the phone still works and everything just cant see the screen.

Go to settings and then brightness and turn up the brightness.

Turn screen off then back on Because some times if you turn your iphone on by taping Lock button and home (Lock then Home) fast it turns the brightness down

If the brightness setting is all the way up and the screen is really dim it is one of two things.
Either the backlight panel on the LCD has gone bad and would need to be replaced, ie replace the digitizer/lcd assembly(the screen) or....
Its a the power amp module on the motherboard which is not repairable. This usually happens an water damaged phones but I have seen it happen on perfectly normal phones to just not a often.
Either way you should try to get your money back if you just bought it or try having the screen replaced on it. You could also take it to an Apple store and see if they will let you trade it in for a discount on another phone.
