You must live under a rock. People nowadays pirating content get more of a sentence than murderers and rapists..It's quite pathetic.

How is the corrupted? You can't always prove something like a murder. But releasing information you can Prove easily. Any other words Instinct has no idea what he's talking about.

^Someone arrested for "hacking", 18 months in prison.

Superdae has multiple counts of intrusion and leaking data as well as other charges.
He has up to 20 years.

Murders usually get 10 years+ depending on who, how many and why they killed.

Anyone who is even ACCUSED of rape gets 30 years.

So...how again do people who intrude in computers get more time?

A crime is a crime, any way you put it. Some people decide to intrude private networks, take down large servers, and access confidential information. These are all illegal crimes, I will feel no remorse for the people who are charged for these crimes. The sentences are something else however. A felon convicted with manslaughter (Coincidental murder. Like killing someone in a car crash) will get you less time than a some of these crimes. Which I agree with. Accidently taking a life in that case is a crime, but not a horrible one. However, convicted rapists and murderers (Politically correct terms) receiving less time is for no good reason. There's a difference between screwing over some company for a bit of time, and ruining some life. Also, an important fact to remember - The hacking activist groups do not have your best interests in mind. Anon isn't for the people, they have their own agenda.

I do not believe this is true at all. first off people who commit murder ususlly grt life... hackers dont... rapists are a little different. it is a proven fact 79% of convicted rapists are wrongfully sentenced. if someone was to point the finger at you for raping them (psychologically believing you did) you would goto jail, then they would find out "wait we convicted the wrong lperson" to be honest I never heard of " I got life for hacking an xbox"

I completely agree with you. I know this girl who had sex for the first time, didn't like it and told everyone that the guy raped her, when she wanted it. It ruined his life.
