Get ready guys its story time.

Inkz is a prime example of someone who developed and became something...from this site.

At first we didnt see eye to eye, just check our early topics!!

He came in with his pen tool tracing and everyone loved it....bar me.

We realised we were both after the same thing, improvement.

He has since gone on to learn new things and tried different things.
I thought he may go in to image manipulation, as he was extremely good at it and asked advice from many great artists.

He then tried Adobe Illustrator...an asked me a couple of questions and I hoped I had pointed him in the right direction.

Turns our I dont think I needed to. He has a natural flare for this.

The logos you see here have not brought him money or recognition, but they have taught him what he needs to do to improve.

He may not tell you this himself but he has volunteered for a group. This is unpaid work remember.
But
It will get his name out there.

Little by little we can achieve something.
People may dislike your work at first, and it may hurt to read the feedback, but take it in, work on it and improve.

We all have someone that will rate us 10/10...ignore these.
You will NEVER be 10/10
But its easier to satisfy those that like your work.
Its harder to bring people round to what you actually do.

I say this because I was in the industry for many years, i hired and fired people.
But before I got to that stage I was hated and rated.
I used the hated comments and feedback to improve my work, and I also used the rated feedback to keep my spirits up.

If you truly want a future in graphic design and media, I suggest you drop Cinema and such programs and develop on your knowledge of Adobe products, no matter how you acquire them, use them!!

DO NOT BE SHY!!
If you see one of the guys round here showing something you want to know how to do....MESSAGE THEM!
The greatest thing a designer can receive is a request on their knowledge.

Take care guys and enjoy what you do!

Thanks for such an amazingly long comment lol...

Yeah, I been helping out voluntarily for a filming project. Some times there are things money won't stretch to. But having publicity for 3 months, film makers and director will see my work done. Means more to some.

And yes, I remember the days of Red-I and Tattooist lol. Arf was the most annoying member I ever met lol. I didn't like his feedback and the way he went round giving it. But the more a studied and understood the way graphic designers work, I actually seen that what he was trying to say and do, was the way it's said and done in the real world of graphic design.

As it happens, I've met other designers from high up in the scale of being professional, and some of the things they say about your work is heart wrenching, but, If taking correctly, it's your ticket in moving forward. Take all he advice you get, good or bad and use it to your advantage.
