I remember reading on the internet, it might have been iFunny that NASA picked up radio signals from another galaxy? Does anyone have any opinions or information on this?

Yes you are right, in the 1970's, a radio signal was received from space at a radio telescope somewhere in the USA.

This signal was named the "Wow!" signal.

This signal lasted for over a minute if my memory serves me correctly, but this signal was never found again.

Also, to begin with, the people who were working on the radio telescope first believed that they had calibrated the equipment wrong, or maybe there were some birds inside the telescope interfering with the signal. None of the theories anyone could come up with as to what it was caused by were ever proved.

And for the record, this is why it was called the "Wow!" signal: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I haven't heard about this yet, though it does sound interesting. If they got a signal, then there must be a really advance civilization out there. The only thing that sounds weird is that it was on iFunny so it will make it hard to seem if it was true. But if they were to send the message, when was it sent? This could at least show that other life did exist somewhere else. Do you know of any video or perhaps the same picture so we can know more about it?
