So again I am in need of some help with my new MacBook. I received it from my girlfriend and I created my own administrator account and what not and when I went into the "accounts" page and deleted her account I am not able to access any of her files on her desktop or anything. It won't even let her sign back in to her account because it doesn't show up on the login page. Any suggestions on how to get the account back?

Yeah I didn't think at the time it was relevant to mention it was my girlfriends. Now that we are trying to access her account I feel like I should mention so no one thinks I stole the darn thing. To be honest I'm trading for an asus laptop tomorrow anyways since I hate apple

NO DUH?! In the files it still has her name "account" on there but when I try to access her desktop it says I don't have the right permissions even though I am an admin and I can't login to her account. But it's still there.

Can anyone at least link me to something that will teach me how to factory reset my mac? Most of the videos on youtube require the install disks and what not. Im sure there is a way you can do it through command prompt?

There is no command prompt on Mac OS X, its Terminal.

In order to do any type of restore you must have the restore disks or can make a bootable flashdrive with a version OS X on it.
