No telling why it's happening, but what type of phone do you have?
You can try backing up your information and doing a factory reset then trying to update it.

Do you happen to be rooted and have uninstalled, frozen or modified any system apps in the slightest?

sargentguns wrote Yes I have uninatalled my root can I still updateWait, you have fully unrooted your phone? I meant like apps that come stock with the phone! If you have modified, frozen or uninstalled them using your root access it will cause the update to fail no matter what you do! Having the phone rooted itself wont cause the update to fail at all?

sargentguns wrote well i don't think i did any of those things why is it not working is there anyway i can updateTry re-rooting your phone first and then doing what BossHaug Said! I know you said you cant get it to work but when you do a factory reset all your stuff will be lost so you will obviously want to be able to restore it later on! If the update doesn't work after taking a factory reset I'll help you find an other way of getting the update to your phone!

sargentguns wrote I have done a factory reset still failing :/Right,I'm just going to assume that you were on Android 4.0.4 before doing the factory reset and you are trying to get to android 4.1.2 which is Jellybean, the newest android version available via official OTA updates for your phone? Now that you have done the Factory reset can the phone be updated back to android 4.0.4 or does it just stay on the Stock Android 2.3?
