This is just a little preview of some album art I did for a friend. I just recently got back on my photoshop game so don't be too harsh.

Ok let's begin.
The text is obviously the main focal point and it is one very well, it really sticks out and creates the general flow to the piece. I really love the lighting done on the text the lighting flares are placed very well. Also the color coordination is spot on red and black go perfectly. The fractals looks great to go along with the grungy exploding feel as though glass is shattering. Now the bad. The outline of the text in grey does not look very appealing maybe if it was done in black or a dark red. Also I'm not sure if the site box is the border or not but if it Isn't I would suggest a different color or it such as a light red. The text looks an little smushed together like they are all connected, if that's what you were going for maybe blend it together a bit more.
Overall very well done.

Took a lot of what you said into consideration and had a few comments,
1. The text without the stroke looks pretty dark I re did it here ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and I personally thought the gray outline fit nice (with a few minor changes).
2. I fixed the white stroke around the whole thing, I think.
3. The text being squished together was not my idea, I had it set up perfectly, and connected together but my friend said he wanted them a bit separated to read it better (what also gave me the idea for the outline of the text).
4. I really appreciate the good feedback as a lot of the stuff I put on here is just buried under ... mostly amateur work.
[Update]
Here's it finalized, with the stroke around the text
