hey guys, xbox "fanboy" coming in peace! be nice!
basically, after the major requirements and set backs the xbox one had, I was ready for getting a ps4. this would be hard for me as ive been loyal to xbox for 11 years. However today I pre-ordered my xbox one (after a long, hard think). Let me tell you why I did this.
Firstly, the drm was removed a few days ago. this brought the freedom of gaming back and for me was something that was stopping me from getting the console when the drm was actually on the console. However it wasent a major problem for me anyways due to me having constant internet access.
Secondly, after watching a shit ton of interviews and looking at specs and statistics. it suddenly hit me. Microsoft did have problems, for the new generation they had issues with the console however they had problems because they are trying to make the next generation and actual NEXT-GEN CONSOLE. not a console that is similar to this generation but with better graphics like the ps4 is. what does the ps4 do that's innovative and that proves they are really trying to make the best console? all they did is build up on the mistakes that the xbox did and just did the opposite, all this without having to take any risks.
Thirdly, people may say "oh yes but they could implement drm back into the xbox one" and fair enough they could. but when they first implemented drm at least they come straight out and told everyone what shit was going down with the consoles and where they wanted to head with the restrictions they put in place. PS4 could easily just **** you all over after launch and Christmas. They originally implemented DRM too into the ps4 however they decided not to include it. This means DRM could still be in the PS4 and be easily put on with a simple patch.
yes fair enough the hardware on the ps4 is slightly better. SLIGHTLY. the human eye would not be able to see any difference between them and the only thing that is better about the ps4 is the price. they are relatively the same console but the xbox is prepared for the future.
I am a humble and mature gamer but seems these are a forums I thought I would create a discussion topic in which you can give your own views. These are my own views please be nice!

I'm not sure there was a point in posting this ... Obviously you want to see people fight because nobody really cares about xbox in this forum ... Hence PS4 General Discussion

The Xbox One also has a plug/outlet or whatever for Google Fiber.

I've also been a Xbox player for around 10 years and it's apparent they do not care about the customers whatsoever anymore. You can say "but that's why they got rid of DRM" well it's not, it's for the money and I will not say Sony's number 1 priority is not money either. Let's just say there was a reason that Bungie went from being an Xbox exclusive to now both consoles and not only that coming out with exclusive content for Destiny(A game they've been working on since the original xbox was the primary console) on the PS4... I also find it funny that the Xbox one does not come with a mic and not only that changed the their design of the headset jack so you HAVE to buy theirs where the PS4 put a plain jack in their controller where you can use any headset (including the one that comes with the console) including old 360 ones. That's just one example of how they are trying to become the next Apple... I also can't stand the fact they do not let developers self-publish titles which is bringing all of the smaller developers to Sony and we don't know if any of them will be the next big developer and if they are they will be Sony exclusives.
