When i hot swap everything goes good till i have to pick a device my hard drive doesn't show in the devices to pick from. Nothing is there. Please help, thanks.

I'm assuming you're putting a USB in your Xbox before hotswapping, right?

No i'm doing it on the old Xbox 360.

you have to insert a usb device.
then when you press install it will come up with 2 storage devices.
1. will be the usb
2. will be the harddrive.
as soon as you press A on HDD, thats when you need to hotswap.

Yes, like the white arcade or black phat one, correct? You NEED to put a USB in one of the slots. It recognized two save devices and asks you which one, even though you can only save to the HDD.

Wooooow, i tried the thing the guy said and the spiny thing kept going and i wrecked my disk.... there like 30$ down the draaain...

Not sure if they recently changed it or not, but I do know that's how you get the menu to pop up that makes you choose the device to save to.
