My FarCry 3 disc is scratched and cant be installed, would it work if i go to my local blockbuster, rent the game and then install it with the disc i got from blockbuster?
EDIT: Any tips for good ways to fix scratches? I could post pictures of the scratches if needed

Yep. That's what I did with Rockband 2; accidently bumped my xbox while it was running and scratched the shit out of it. I borrowed my friends copy, installed it to my HDD and it runs perfectly.

You would install the disc to the harddrive and then use your stratched disc and play it! Yes it works! I did it for MW2

As long as the disc is recognised you could install another copy then use your copy to boot the game. After that it will play from the HDD perfectly.

Oh alright I was about to say, you better rent god damn movies and games from there all the time to try and keep it around
