So i am trying to dual boot windows 8 with windows 7, the laptop came with 8 installed but i want to use 90 gb of my drive for 7 in case of a windows 8 failure, problem is upon the setup wizard i get "Windows can not be installed to this partition. Selected drive is of GPT".
I tried numerous ways to fix it (not including the ones that modify the actual installed OS, don't want it to screw over) and nothing works, it still gives me the same error. I was able to create a partition on the drive but not be able to install it.
Upon research of the issue it say that the UEFI is not enabled on the hardware i am trying to choose yet it is specifically enabled in the BIOS. I disable secureboot (Unsure if that did anything but it got a better response) and still the same issue.
I am using a Dell laptop with the new boot loader that came with it, and honestly it is bad, but i can not get rid of it. Old laptops i had no issue with multiple dual booting, but this current one i have that has 8 already installed on it is not working.
I really need help as i want to be able to have a back up OS.
